I’m a writer.

Depending on the day, I’m making stuff up, giving advice, or explaining how to finish a craft project. I know that sounds like a lot, but it’s true. I write fiction, job search and career advice, and do a lot of crafting.

So, how did I get here?

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved creating stories. It’s just a part of me. But sometimes life happens, and I ended up with a Master’s in Criminal Justice, helping ex-offenders find jobs. After burning out (it happens a lot), I went back to my first love. I started as a freelancer, scraping up gigs but mostly working for content mills.

Turns out freelance life isn’t for me, so I took what I learned at those mills, combined it with my social service experience, and parlayed that into a full-time writing career.

And what comes next?

Who knows? But any day above ground is a good day and a chance to make something happen.
